I saw Eye for an Eye years ago. I might watch it again though, I liked it.

What's Everest? Is it a documentary about Everest, like the Planet Earth Series?

it's a realty series about people trying to reach the summit of everest, but there's this one guy who's so freaking arrogant and who continues to risk the teams and his own safety. It gets pretty hairy with him, but some people from the other teams actually die climbing the mountain while the crew was there filming.

The Story of India

Stress: Portrait of a Killer (Great, now I'm stressed ABOUT being stressed!)

10 Minute Solution: Carb Burner

Fat Head (very interesting because I've been reading about the psuedo-science behind the weight loss industry, and he makes some great points, but completely ignores the value of local, organic, non-factory farmed food)

Babies

Dogs Decoded: Nova

10 Questions for the Dalai Lama

30 Rock

The Business of Being Born

Lily, I watched the stress show and the monkey study was fascinating.

Dee, I watched the walmart show. It was so dperessing but I won't biuy anything from them from now on. What I don't understand is why the people act like it's the only job in the world. What would they do if walmart shut down in their town. What did they do before? I don't like the people who own walmart, work at walmart or buy at walmart.

So since I watched those shows, you guys have to watch this movie called "Without a Trace". It was so good! I gave it 5 stars. It's an older movie inspired by the kidnapping of Etan Patz.. Remember that story?

I know, I can't go to walmart anymore! I haven't been since before I watched it. I never loved it anyway. It's helping us be more inventive with finding local places to shop. I'm sure Target and other giant chains can't be much better....I still am going to Target though.

I watched "Sick Around the World". It's a film about how different countries deal with healthcare. I enjoyed hearing about other countries' systems but I was left feeling unsatisfied. If it had been able to be longer and talk about some more countries it would have been good. I was left feeling like "there is no solution to the healthcare crisis." The closest a good solution came to was the UK & Switzerland.

I also watched a documentary called "The way we get by". It's about a few different elderly people who greet the troops at the Bangor, Maine airport, since that is where alot of them fly in and out of. It was good.

Watched "Omar and Pete". It was so boring we didn't even finish it.

70038747.jpg

Emmy-winning producer, director and writer Tod Lending -- whose gripping documentary, Legacy, earned him an Oscar nomination in 2000 -- helms this intimate portrait of Omar and Pete, longtime friends and habitual criminals who've spent most of their lives behind bars. After their latest release from prison, each prepares to rejoin society, with mixed results. But can they leave their bad habits behind for good?

Watched this too:

As Far as My Feet Will Carry Me

70068024.jpg

After escaping from a Siberian labor camp in the wake of World War II, German soldier Clemens Forell (Bernhard Bettermann) makes his way toward his wife and children, traveling more than 8,000 miles over the course of three long years to reach his final destination. Hardy Martins directs this critically acclaimed adaptation of the best-selling book by Josef Martin Bauer, a true story of survival and courage.

It was good (***)
